2nd) The waiting game
From my experience, the perfect curls are not only the result of picking the right products and knowing their precise amounts. It also relys on the timing of processes.
For instants, if you apply a dense styling product right after you rinse your hair, the result will be completely different from the one you would get by applying it 1h after rinsing your hair.
Seems logic, right?
What if I was not alking about a whole hour, what if a few minutes made a gigantic difference?
I belive curly hair is much like cooking: add the right amounts of the right ingredients at the right times and voilá!
Usually, after I style my curls I don't go straight into the diffusing process. I'll wait for about 10-15 minutes and only then do I blow dry it. Why is that? Trial and error curly, trial and error...
I came to ackwnoledge that if I blow dry my curls:
a) right after I style them:
I'll end up with fat clumps because the strings didn't have the time to dry a bit and separate them selves from the ones that don't curl quite like them + no volume
b) >20 minutes:
I'll get streched out curls that look more like waves because the water weigthed them down + silly single strands with identity crises which have no clue they were supposed to curl + FRIZZ
Yup, I know, short window to work on... My curls are very demanding!
Hope to help you Curly!
